CONSUMER WARNING! BRANDSMART FAULTY LG WASHER SALE & WARRANTY DELAY

#BUYERBEWARE I purchased an LG Washer & Dryer set from #Brandsmart when I purchased my home. I also purchased the extended warranty.

The washer was leaking and I called Brandsmart and the customer service lady said that if I do not have the receipt and extended warranty paperwork that there was nothing they could do. I was infuriated. It was still under LG's Mfg Warranty time period. The washer kept leaking. I called back, not settled with the situation, and talked to a Manager. They apologize and say that is not the case that they can look me up in the system. Conveniently now it is on the extended warranty. They had #GoldenHomeService come out. The tech replaces the grey rubber gasket that goes around the whole opening. He writes on the work order that it is commercial use???? Strangely - he came to my home and saw it was home use and by no means commercial use. He then shows me a human hair that was in the door and said that hair could be causing the leak. What? I laughed and said if a washing machine cannot handle hair then it should not be sold.

Long story short.... each time they came out and replaced something new: 1st the gasket, then the door hinge, the whole door, then the whole front of the washing machine. Each time saying if they have to come out again that they will replace it. Each time it continued to leak the would say WE HAVE to send a tech out. I was infuriated 5 trips and meanwhile, it is leaking on my floor. FINALLY, THEY CAME OUT AND REPLACED IT. I HAD TO CALL BRANDSMART TO GET THE WARRANTY COMPANY TO STOP PLAYING GAMES. Right after the leak was resolved by replacing the washing machine... the tile flooring started cracking and rising up. I called Brandsmart and they said it is a liability of Golden Home Service for not replacing quicker. I called Golden and they said it is an LG problem. I got ahold of an EXECUTIVE, William Lange. He said he would reach out to legal to see what can be done. They evaporated.

IF -
1) BRANDSMART WOULD HAVE HANDLED THE INITIAL CALL PROPERLY there would not have been any damage.
2) IF Golden Home kept to their contract (as said by LG) then LG front load washer after two visits (not 5) it would have been replaced the damage would have been mitigated.
Now I am left with cracks all over my tile floor in which a tile contractor said the water seeped underneath making the plaster, mortar stuff (can't remember what it is called) to shift and cause air pockets which then our weight on it caused the tiles to break. Some have even risen up, it feels wonderful to stub your toes on tile.

WITH ALL OF THIS SAID - THE EXTENDED WARRANTY IS BULLSHIT. Don't buy it thru Brandsmart. They like giving you the run-around.
